Becuase Bethsda does not actively support Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas anymore a game has to be actively supported by its publisher/developer so that they can patch in Workshop support this also of course costs money becuase the must have someone make the patch and test it. New Vegas was made by the same people that made the original games, and Fallout 3 is made by the people that made the Elder Scrolls games. This is very apparent if you're familiar with these games. Fallout 3 tends to be more of a spectacle experience, and New Vegas tends to be more thought-provoking. Personally, I'd get both, as they tend to be W10 here, but I had problems with Fallout 3 by Steam, 'got a fair refund from Steam (the Steam sale page itself even tells the Steam version of FO3 won't work under W10) then went gog.com to get FO3 which worked like a charm, then kept getting the following New vegas also at GOG, and I'm currently playing it without a single problem.
